U.S. Marine Stabbed Estranged Wife
Last week, an active-duty U.S. Marine was arrested for stabbing his estranged wife to death on a freeway in Honolulu. Bryant Tejeda-Castillo (29) is being held on a high bounty and charges of second-degree murder due to eyewitness accounts.
Tejeda-Castillo and Dana Alotaibi (27) were currently attempting to finalize a divorce when he attacked her on the H-3 Interstate Highway according to NBC. According to the eyewitnesses, many saw him stabbing and attacking Alotaibi and were forced to pull him off and away from her. When the Honolulu Police came, they saw Tejeda-Castillo held some minor injuries, which he was taken to the hospital to have treated and which eyewitnesses claim to have seen him inflict on himself.
As per her family and Alotaibi’s own YouTube account, she experienced severe physical abuse throughout her relationship with Tejeda-Castillo. According to CBS, this abuse led to her reporting his abuse to his Marine higher command and receiving the military’s version of a restraining order in a “No Contact” order. Additionally, on her YouTube channel, she discussed past incidences with her husband, such as when he threatened to kill her last December.
On the report of close friends, Alotaibi was also 13 weeks pregnant when she was murdered. As we await the results of her autopsy to confirm or deny that fact, the charges against Tejeda-Castillo could change.
