Two Found Dead in home and Daycare

Around 8 a.m. on Thursday in Kannapolis, North Carolina the police received a 911 call reporting a double homicide at the B&T Learning Center family childcare home. Sharon Chambers, 61, and her nephew, Benny Sloan Jr., 46, were found dead in Chamber’s home that also operated as a daycare. 

The owner of the daycare, Chambers’ daughter, found them both dead with gunshot wounds. No children were present in the home when the murder happened.

According to family members, prior to the homicide, Sloan was helping Chambers prepare breakfast before the children arrived. 

Family and neighbors described Chambers as a selfless and caring woman who wanted to help children and be of service to others. Sloan was said to be a good kid who worked hard and wanted to help out his aunt.

No information has been released about potential suspects, but their family have some ideas.
