Three Bodies Found in Irvine, California Home in Possible Murder-Suicide

Police in California are investigating a possible murder-suicide after three bodies were found “severely decomposed” in a home in Irvine.

Around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, police were dispatched to do a welfare check at 58 Riverboat, on the northern end of the city.

Extended family members of the residents of the home relayed to Canadian authorities that they had been unable to contact their family for over a year. Canadian authorities then asked members of the Irvine department to make a welfare check.

When the officers entered the home, they discovered three severely decomposing bodies, all of whom appeared as adults according to KTLA.

There was no signs of forced entry, and there were “some indicators” that their deaths were tied to a domestic incident which resulted in a murder-suicide, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Neighbors claimed many people who owned property in the gated community did so as vacation homes or investments, so it wasn’t unusual for homes to appear vacant. The outside of the home received regular maintenance and groundskeeping through the home owner’s association.
