Two Dead in Las Vegas Murder-Suicide

Police in Las Vegas, Nevada, are investigating an apparent murder suicide in an apartment complex in downtown, near the intersection of 9th Street and Fremont.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police responded to a 911 call from a neighbor of the deceased at the Fremont9 apartment buildings, at 901 Fremont Street around 2:30 p.m. Saturday according to KNTV.

On Saturday, the neighbor received a phone call from the woman’s employer, saying she hadn’t been at work for the past few days. The two were found by the neighbor, who in speaking with police noted how the pair lived together and heard them arguing in a “domestic related incident” on Thursday.

The man, in his early 40s, is believed to have shot the woman, in her early 50s, before turning the gun on himself.

Police Lieutenant Ray Spencer stated that he didn’t believe their deaths occurred on Saturday when they were found. According to Lt. Spencer, “I would say from the initial examination of the bodies, and the scene, I’d probably say within the last couple of days or more than two days.”

Neither the man or the woman have been identified.
