Occurring on July 11th, aka 7/11, the day of 7-eleven’s 95th anniversary may be a possible motive for the robberies and shootings. Three of the robberies were linked to one man caught on video surveillance while the other three haven’t been determined to be connected.

At the Riverside location, a customer was shot by the suspect around 2 a.m. The robber shot a 40-year-old man before fleeing the scene, leaving the victim in grave condition. An hour later, officers responded to a call about gunfire at a 7-Eleven in Santa Ana. A person was shot in the head in the parking lot at this location, they were pronounced dead on the scene.

The suspect robbed all six 7-Elevens, reportedly stealing around $400-$500 in cash at the Ontario location. The amount stolen at the other five stores haven’t been disclosed, but the gunman had stolen some cash and various items from the shop.

The police are still actively searching for the suspect(s).
