Mass Shooting Kills 15 People At Bar in South Africa
Early Sunday morning in Soweto, South Africa a mass shooting occurred in a bar downtown, killing 15 individuals. According to Gauteng Police, A group of men armed with firearms entered the tavern and started shooting “randomly” at people.
23 people in total were shot at with 12 being declared dead on the scene. 11 individuals were rushed to the hospital before three more people reportedly died.
Authorities were unable to identify the suspects due to the fact the bar and surrounding area were dark at the time. As of right now, the gunmen are still on the loose.
In a separate incident, four people were pronounced dead after a mass shooting at Sweetwaters, a bar in Pietermaritzburg, on Saturday. It is likely the same gunmen who shot up the tavern in Soweto also participated in the Pietermaritzburg shooting the previous day.
