Search for Missing 16-Year-Old Bronx Girl Intensifies

Jezlieanne Colon left her Bronx home on Saturday afternoon and has not been seen since.

Colon’s mother, Kimberly Varela, told PIX 11 News that her daughter had been attending the Nightingale Bamford School, an elite all-girls school prep school in New York’s Upper East Side.

Varela said that when her daughter returned to in-person schooling, she had some trouble adjusting. “She was the only dark-skinned girl in the school” Valera said. “Everyone is Caucasian; she’s always told me she didn’t fit in.”

Colon’s twin brother said he saw his sister “bolt” out of the door in the Castle Hood neighborhood where they live at 3pm on Saturday. A missing person’s report has been filed.

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in locating Jezlieanne Colon. The missing teen is 5’7 with red hair and brown eyes.
