Pennsylvania Man Finds Human Remains Beneath Girlfriend's Home

Tracey Douds and her boyfriend were shocked to discover a decomposing body in a crawl space under Douds home where she has lived with her daughter for five years on March 18.

Douds, her daughter, and her boyfriend believed the foul smell which would occasionally flare up was just a dead animal who wandered its way under her home. When her boyfriend went into the crawl space to do some plumbing work, he came back startled.

After he made his discovery, he came back to Douds and told her what he thought he’d just found. Douds believed he was pulling on a prank on her, but when he went below the mobile home for a second time, their fears were confirmed when they found bones. They immediately called 911 and now Pennsylvania State Police began investigating.

Douds told KDKA “I’ve felt weird since I’ve been here and I didn’t know why or is it just me.” She also says she is no Nancy Drew, but something always freaked her out about the home. She ended her interview with KDKA by saying “We’re a little traumatized, but it will be over soon.”

According to police, the body is in an “extreme state” of composition and are unable to determine whether the gender of the deceased. Police are currently unable to determine how long the body was under Douds home. Police are still investigating this horrific discovery.
