N.C. Infant Dies in Hot Car After Father Leaves to Go to Work
Police responded to a 911 call around noon this past Friday at Armacell, a manufacturing company, in Mebane, North Carolina. Officers, upon arrival, administered CPR on a one-year-old who went into cardiac arrest while being stuck inside a hot car in the parking lot.
The unresponsive infant sadly passed away due to the unbearable temperatures inside the vehicle. It was unclear how long the baby had been in the car, but it’s been revealed their father worked at the manufacturing company and had left them inside to go to work.
The recorded temperature at noon that day was in the upper 80s, but had been higher inside the car.
As of right now, there have been no charges filed against the father, but are predicted to be released by the end of the day today. This marks the ninth child hot-car fatality this year.
