Motorcycle 'Outlaw' Wanted in Colorado is Arrested in Tampa
Gregory Moore Jr., 31, of Colorado, was arrested on January 25 in Tampa at a clubhouse just north of Ybor City in connection with a fatal 2020 shootout in Arvada, Colorado.
Moore Jr. is a member of the Mongols Motorcycle Club, who the U.S. Justice Department have deemed the most dangerous motorcycle gang in the country. The Department states they often traffic drugs and commit violent crimes.
On July 11, 2020, a fight broke out between members of the Mongols and Hells Angels clubs at a roadhouse. Hells Angels member William “Kelly” Henderson, 43, was killed during the shootout according to police. Three others were shot in the altercation.
Two people not related with the shootout were run off the road on their motorcycles and sustained serious injuries. One injured man from the roadhouse went to help another injured person and was hit over the head with a motorcycle helmet and run over and will sustain lifelong traumatic brain injuries.
Moore Jr. has been extradited back to Colorado and is facing over a dozen charges including one count of first-degree murder, six counts of attempted murder, two counts of organized crime, six counts of first-degree assault, and three counts of vehicular assault.
Nine other members of the Mongols club were arrested as well across various states like Colorado, California, Utah, and Florida. All together, the suspects are facing 33 charges.
