Mother Kills Her Two Children in A Murder-Suicide

On Monday night, Jenavie Palmer, 34, received an unsettling message from their ex-wife, Ashley Palmer, 31, with a link to a YouTube playlist titled, “Mother Children Murder Suicide 2022”. Jenavie quickly dialed 911 and directed the police to Gresham Apartments in Gresham, Oregon where Ashley lived and had the kids until Tuesday. 

The investigators were unable to get into the apartment until early Tuesday morning, and at 7:45 am, Jenavie’s suspicions were confirmed. The two children, Kayleana Beatrice Palmer and Xavier Rayvaughn Danger Palmer were found dead alongside their mother, Ashley.

The motive behind this heartbreaking, premeditated murder can be linked to the longstanding custody battle that’s been brewing since 2018. According to The Oregonian records, Ashley Palmer claimed to the court twice that the two children would face imminent danger if they granted partial custody between the spouses. This claim was later turned down in July of 2021 after determining Kaylena and Xavier were not in danger. 

A GoFundMe has been made by family friends to cover the children’s funeral costs.
