Last week, six members of the Haitian Special Olympics assembly disappeared in Kissimmee Florida, near the Wide World of Sports Complex. They were last seen on Monday, June 6th, at 2:30 in the afternoon.
The six missing men, Antione Mithon, Nicholson Fontilus, Peter Berlus, Anderson Petit-Frere, Steevenson Jacquet, and Oriol Jean, were attending the Olympics to take part in a Soccer Competition. According to CNN, they ranged in age from 18-32, and one amongst the group has an intellectual disability. They arrived in Orlando for the games taking place from June 5 to the 12th.
Their reason for departing early is unknown, but according to Wesh 2 News they left behind all of their personal belongings and turned in their room keys. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has said they believe there is no need to worry over their health or safety, and they state that they feel there is no risk of foul play.
