Illinois Man Arrested for Torturing and Imprisoning a Woman for Two Days
Meontay D. Wheeler, 23, of Bloomington, Illinois was arrested on Friday for beating and holding a woman against her will after she filed a domestic violence case against him.
According to The Pantagraph, when police arrived at the scene, they found the victim severely beaten with burns, cuts, and bruises. The injuries inflicted upon the victim were consistent with being strangled and restrained. Wheeler was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated battery, domestic battery and aggravated domestic battery involving strangulation.
The police report stated that the victim was not allowed to eat and was only allowed to drink water twice while in captivity.
Wheeler is now being held on $1 million dollar bond, according to NewsBreak.
