Former Playboy Model Is Sentenced to Prison Involving Murder of Psychiatrist
Kelsey Turner, former Playboy model, was sentenced to 10 to 25 years in prison for the murder of Thomas Kirk Burchard, a child psychiatrist she had a relationship with, according to People.
According to People, Jon Logan Dennison, the model’s ex boyfriend “beat the man to death and stashed his body in the car trunk.” Dennison was also sentenced to 18-45 years in prison for the crime, and Diana Pena, a roommate that was living with both Turner and Dennison at the time of the murder pleaded guilty as an accessory to murder and agreed to help authorities with their case against Turner.
CBS News claims that the doctor’s “bludgeoned corpse was found in 2019 in the trunk of her abandoned car just outside Las Vegas.” CBS News also states that police and prosecutors said Turner had an intimate relationship with Burchard, and Burchard paid the rent on a Las Vegas home where Turner and Kennison lived with roommate Diana Pena.
People says an autopsy determined that Burchard died from blunt force trauma to the head, with the manner ruled a homicide, and CBS News claims that a baseball bat was found in the car with Turner and Dennison’s finger prints.
The motive of Burchard’s death, according to People, is that “Burchard died after he tried to end the relationship with Turner, reports state. After he decided to cut her off, Turner alleged that Burchard had child porn on his phone, which was false. She also allegedly stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from the doctor after he died, his longterm girlfriend claimed in court, saying Turner had fraudulently used Burchard's account to pay her bills.”
