‘For My Fellow Survivors:’ Evan Rachel Wood Flips Off Marilyn Manson After His Kanye West Appearance
Evan Rachel Wood has a message for Marilyn Manson following his controversial appearance at Kanye West’s listening event last week.
And that message? The bird.
Wood, 33, flipped off her 52-year-old ex while performing a cover of the New Radicals' 1998 single "You Get What You Give" on Saturday.
“Fashion shoots with Beck and Hanson, Courtney Love and Marilyn Manson, you're all fakes, run to your mansions, come around, we'll kick your asses,” the original lyrics of the song state.
As Wood got around to covering that part of the song, she stuck her middle finger in the air. The crowd erupted in cheers.
The Emmy-nominated actor posted a recording of that performance on her Instagram along with the caption, “For my fellow survivors who got slapped in the face this week. I love you. Don't give up.”
"Don't give up, you've got a reason to live" is the chorus of the '90s hit.
