Singer Trey Songz Under Investigation For Alleged Sexual Assault At His Birthday
R&B artist Trey Songz is under investigation for sexual assault, over an alleged incident that occurred on his birthday.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed to Oxygen.com that they received a report about an alleged sexual assault at a hotel on the 3700 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard "involving" the singer. TMZ had previously reported the hotel at which the alleged assault took place was the Cosmopolitan Law Vegas; its address corresponds with the LVMPD statement.
Another statement obtained by the Associated Press that sex crimes detectives have received a complaint about a Sunday incident at a hotel on the Las Vegas Strip involving the singer and an unnamed actor.
Sunday marked Songz's 37th birthday, whose legal name is Tremaine Aldon Neverson. On Saturday night, he performed at Drai's Nightclub, in a concert listed as his "Official Birthday Celebration." Drai's sits on the 3500 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard, colloquially known as the Strip.
He has not been arrested and is LVMPD told Oxygen.com that he is cooperating with investigators. The statement does not indicate what time on Sunday the report was made.
