Florida Man Drives into Police Parking Lot Engulfed in Flames
The Daytona Beach Police department got a nasty surprise around 2 o’clock Wednesday morning when an unidentified Florida Man drove into their parking lot engulfed in flames.
Daytona Beach Police said in a statement that a flaming gray Ford van drove into the lot of their headquarters, near the front lobby entrance.
Moments later, the driver, a 55-year-old Lake City resident, ran from the vehicle “covered in flames.”
Local Firefighters quickly responded and extinguished the blaze, but the Florida Man was pronounced dead on the scene.
It remains unclear what exactly caused the fire, but the police department has stated that the fire was not due to mechanical issues inside the van.
This investigation is ongoing.
