Delta Passenger Detained After Opening Plane Door and Deploying Exit Slide

People claims that authorities are investigating an incident in which a man who was a passenger on a Delta Airlines flight headed for Seattle, opened an emergency exit door as the plane was leaving LAX on Saturday morning.

Passengers observed the man interacting with a flight attendant as the plane was leaving the gate. Gillian Sheldon, a passenger on the plane, claims that seemed agitated, nervous, anxious, or freaked out about something. The flight attendant allegedly told the man that he needed to go back to his seat, and then he turned and reached for the door. After the flight attendant told him that he couldn’t open the door and grabbed him, he opened the door two seconds later.

The incident occurred at around 10am, and Delta staff detained the man, while passengers were transferred to another flight, according to NBC Los Angeles.
