Decapitated Body Discovered in Jackson, Mississippi

A man called the police after his dog returned carrying what appeared to be a severed arm over the weekend. Police traced the rest of the body minus the victim’s head to an abandoned house. As of now, the victim has not been identified.

The victim appears to be a white male, though authorities have not released more information regarding his identity, according to the New York Post. Authorities located the rest of the body in an abandoned house in the woods. While the victim’s head was initially missing, authorities later recovered the victim’s head, as it was missing from the body, according to Fox News. The victim’s cause of death has also not been released.

Jackson, Mississippi authorities are currently investigating leads regarding the victim’s identity and cause of death.
