Brooklyn Man Arrested For Murder of 18-Year-Old Girlfriend

Dylan Diaz, 26, of Brooklyn, faces murder charges after allegedly killing his 18-year-old girlfriend Damaris Maravilla in his apartment Friday morning.

Police say they responded to a 911 call Friday around 10:15 a.m. to a home on West Sixth Street in the Bensonhurst neighborhood. Responding officers found Maravilla lying on the bed with severe trauma to her body.

Paramedics pronounced Maravilla dead at the scene. Diaz was taken into custody at the scene and later charged with murder. Her body was taken to the medical examiner’s office to determine the exact cause of death.

The couple shared a 6-month-old child baby boy. According to her father, she was looking forward to her first mother’s day as a mom.

A GoFundMe has been set up by Maravilla’s siblings to help cover costs for a funeral.
