Body of Missing Florida Woman Found Inside Her Septic Tank, Suspect in Custody

The body of 57-year-old Cynthia ‘Cyndi’ Cole was discovered inside a septic tank behind her home in Jensen Beach, FL this weekend. Cole was last seen by her friends on Feb 24 at the ‘Jammin Jensen’ art festival.

WPBF News reports that investigators have arrested 34-year-old Keoki Hilo Demich, who worked as a handyman for Cole for the last few years. Martin County Sheriff William Snyder stated that security cameras placed Demich inside of Cole’s car after her disappearance.

According to a statement released by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, the medical examiner has yet to conduct an autopsy on the body, but “detectives have every reason to believe it is that of Ms. Cole.” The investigation remains ongoing.
