California Couple Accused of Killing their 3-Month-Old Daughter
A California couple are being accused of the killing of their 3-month-old daughter, Delilah.According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, a 911 call was made last Tuesday regarding an unresponsive infant. San Diego police arrived and began performing life-saving methods on the baby until paramedics arrived. The infant later passed away at the hospital.The baby's parents, Brandon Copeland, 21, and Elizabeth Ucman, 22, could face 25 years to life if convicted of murder. The baby's cause of death is unknown. CBS 8 reports that the infant passed away after only being in the California couples custody for 6 weeks. A great aunt was previously granted the child due to unclean and unfit conditions in the couple's apartment. After a month and a half, custody was granted to the parents after their apartment had been cleaned.The couple has plead not guilty in the death of their daughter, NBC 7 reports. The couple is being held without bail and have a bail review hearing for November 22.
