Child’s Remains Found in 2020 ID’d

A child’s remains found in 2020 were id’d by the police.

According to NBC News, The child was identified recently as 9-year-old Haley Mae Coblentz. Haley’s body had been found last year in a duffel bag in Oregon on Dec. 10. Police believe that she had been dead around two months before her body was discovered. She had been living with her mother and her mother’s girlfriend in several different places in Oregon since 2015. Haley had never been reported missing.

Haley was just identified on October 4 by DNA testing.

Oregon Live reports that Haley’s mother,Shawna Browning, 29, and her girlfriend, 34-year-old Lauren Harrison, were arrested in Detroit, Michigan during a traffic stop. The pair were found on November 30 and charged with aggravated murder by police. They are being held without bail in Wayne County.
