Child Shot in the Head After Chicago Road Rage Incident

Chicago police are investigating an incident where someone shot a 21-month-old boy in the head Tuesday. They believe it was the result of road rage. According to NBC, the shooting happened on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago, Illinois, around 11 a.m. Police said that the altercation lasted for two blocks, and the boy obtained a bullet wound to the head in the process. Eventually, the car crashed and a man nearby took the boy and his mother to the hospital.The boy's condition improved, but he is still in critical condition at Lurie Children's Hospital.According to ABC 7, Chicago Police Cmdr. Jacob Alderden believes that the dispute began when someone was not let into a lane on the road. Chicago police questioned a suspect and have witnesses to corroborate the story.
