YouTubers Who Make Spooky/True Crime Content

YouTubers Who Make Spooky/True Crime Content

YouTube is an online video platform that has been around for decades. Since its creation, numerous people have posted different content from vlogs to music, and while those things are still very popular on the platform, true crime and spooky content creators have gained a bigger viewing over recent years.

Here is a list of a few creators that put a lot of thought and research into their videos on these topics:

Kendall Rae

With 3.5 million subscribers, Kendall Rae has built her channel around true crime and making sure that awareness and justice is brought to victims and their families. Rae doesn’t just cover the big cases that get massive media coverage, instead most of the cases she publicizes on her channel are ones that haven’t received much media attention. One of Rae’s biggest goals is to spread this information accurately by doing her research and making sure she can find as many pieces to the story as possible, she’s even interviewed family members of these victims in order to help tell the story more clearly.

Rae has even released exclusive merch in order to help organizations, such as Thorne–an organization that specializes in putting an end to human trafficking–and donates 100% of the proceeds.

While Rae’s content is mainly true crime based, she has posted a few lighter and more fun videos on her channel, involving celebrity fraud scandals, lawsuits, sams and many more, whether for the Halloween season or just for fun.

Michelle Platti

Michelle Platti has been making content for a few years and has mainly centered her content on spooky topics. Both on YouTube and on TikTok, Platti has posted videos related to the Mandela Effect, conspiracy theories, past lives, the dark side of TikTok, and much more. While her content is mainly on these fun topics, she has posted videos covering true crime cases, and even videos surrounding celebrities, past and present; these videos have ranged from the Free Brittney Movement to the tragic backstories of child actors, and the dark side of Hollywood.

Like Kendall Rae, Platti has always made sure that no matter what video she’s making, her facts are as accurate as possible.

Hailey Reese

Hailey Reese’s content is very similar to Platti’s, the major difference being that Reese is more spiritual. Her content ranges from her own personal encounters with ghosts and spirits, psychic readings, urban legends, and ghost hunting. Like Rae and Platti, she has covered true crime cases on her channel, though that isn’t her niche. Reese has covered cases from the past that have mainly been unsolved or unheard of, and she has also made sure that she’s done her research as accurately as possible no matter which video she’s filming.

While these creators are small, they deserve more recognition for their content and the hard work they put into their channels.
