14 Year-Old Boy Nicknamed ‘El Chapito’ Arrested for Murder of 8 People at Party

CBS News claims that a 14 year old boy,  nicknamed “El Chapito,” has been arrested for the drug related killing of 8 people near Mexico City.

Allegedly, the boy rode up on a motorcycle and opened fire on a family in the suburb of Chimalhuacan.

The nickname, “El Chapito” is a reference to the infamous Mexican drug lord, Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman.  

According to People, the victims were throwing a party, and three adults died at the scene, while five others died while receiving medical care. It’s reported that another seven people were injured, including a child under 3 years old, and one under 14. 

A total of nine gang members have been charged for their involvement in the deadly shooting, and “El Chapito” and “El Ñoño” were arrested for several murders this week.
