Tuskegee University Football Player Fatally Shot

Reginald T. Summage Jr., 20, was shot and killed Friday night while attempting to break up a fight.

According to AL.com, officers were notified of a shooting at Washington Plaza around 11:50 p.m. on Friday. Police arrived to the scene and found Summage injured. He died at the scene.

According to Police Chief Jennifer Jordan, the altercation began as a fist fight, which resulted in gunfire.

There is a current ongoing investigation.
