The Disappearance of Kyron Horman
On June 4th, 2010, Kyron Horman’s stepmother Terri Moulton watched Kyron Horman walk to class after setting up his science fair project. This would be the last time Kyron was seen alive. Kyron’s disappearance would lead to the largest missing persons search in Oregon’s history.
Kyron was reportedly seen by a student around 9 am, but he was not seen in class, prompting his teachers to mark him absent. When he did not get off the school bus that afternoon, Terri Moulton and Kyron’s biological father Kaine Horman called 911, according to All That’s Interesting. Moulton would describe driving her infant daughter Kiara around country roads because Kiara had an earache before she went to a fitness center at 11:39 am, staying for an hour. While Moulton would initially fail a polygraph test, there was a probability of deception on the test, and previous lack of alibi was cleared up, according to All That’s Interesting.
While no charges have been filed, Terri Moulton was named a suspect in the case. To move forward with the case, DNA was taken from Kyron’s toothbrush as well as DNA from his family members, according to KGW.com. Kyron’s biological mom Desiree Young continues searching for her son. As of today, a $50,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to Horman’s discovery. There is a chance that Kyron Horman is still alive.
