Reigning Miss Alabama Dies: Possible Suicide

The reigning Miss Alabama, Zoe Sozo Bethel, 27, died early morning Friday, Feb. 18, in what the Miami Police Department calls a “tragic accident.”

At midnight on Feb. 11, authorities responded to report of a “possible suicide attempt.” The individual was identified as Zoe Sozo Bethel. Bethel reportedly fell from a third-floor window, thus suffering from “blunt force trauma,” which led to Bethel ending up in a coma, according to USA Today.

She passed away on Feb. 18 as a result of her injuries. According to a police statement, there was no foul play suspected.
