Former Glam Rockstar Gary Glitter Returns to Jail After Violating His Bond
Former glam rockstar, and registered sex offender, Gary Glitter, whose real name is Paul Gadd, has returned to prison after violating his probation.
Gadd was sentenced in 2015 to a 16 year sentence for sexually abusing three young girls in the ‘70s; unfortunately, Gadd only served half of that sentence before he was released early in February, People claims. He was released under the condition that he’d be monitored by the police.
The Guardian reports that he was recalled after a photo of him emerged using a smartphone and asking how to access the “dark web.”
Gadd, 79, was convicted for one count of attempted rape, four counts of indecent assault and one count of sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 12. In the 1970’s, Gadd isolated two girls, aged 12 and 13, from their mothers and attacked them. In 1975, he attempted to rape his third victim after crawling into her bed.
Gadd will appear before a parole board to determine how long he will remain in custody.
