Man Arrested for Death of War Veteran from 45 Years Ago
A man has been arrested in connection to the death of a World War I Veteran who disappeared nearly 45 years ago, according to CBS News.Martin Motta, 74, was arraigned for the crime after the remains of George Clarence Seitz were found in a backyard.Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz says "After 45 years, the alleged killer of a WWI Veteran is being held accountable and brought to justice. We hope the identification of the remains and the indictment in this case will begin to bring peace and closure to his loved ones.CBS News says that "The New York Police Department and the Queens district attorney's office conducted an investigation that included witness interviews and record searches in five states, and which led them to Motta."
