Jurors found an Oklahoma police officer guilty of second-degree murder Wednesday.
Former officer Michael Nealey beat his superior, Mannford Police Chief Lucky Miller, after an altercation in Nov. 2019. According to KFOR, Nealey killed Miller, 44, inside a hotel room after a work conference. The two got into a fight at the Hilton Garden Inn in Pensacola Beach, Alabama, around 9 p.m.
Witnesses reported yelling coming from the room, including, “Stop it, Mike!” Then, a maintenance worked arrived and found the two, with Nealey on top of Miller. Miller’s body showed signs of a beating, including injuries to his face and eye.
According to NBC, Nealey was second in command for the Mannford Police Department.
