Kidnapped Girl in Alabama's Escape Revealed More Crimes to Be Seen
After a young girl escaped captivity from a Dadeville, Alabama home on Monday, police returned to make a shocking discovery the following day that opened an entirely new investigation. Because this is an ongoing case, the amount of information is scarce, but what we do have from the Tallapoosa County Police is shocking.
According to the New York Post, the 12-year-old unnamed victim was able to escape on Monday after chewing through restraints being used to keep her tied to a bed, where she had been drugged with alcohol and assaulted for much of a week. After her escape, she wandered around the nearby town until found by an adult who called the police, then pointed them in the direction of her kidnapper.
José Paulino Pascual-Reyes (37) was then arrested, and his home searched on Tuesday. According to the Washington Post, there the police found two decomposing bodies on the property. They were sent off to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences to identify them and their cause of death, along with how long they have been decomposing.
Pascual-Reyes faces kidnapping charges along with multiple counts of capital murder pending the identification and timeline of the two decomposing bodies.
