Fourteen-Year-Old Girl in Critical Condition After Being Stabbed by the Man She Met Online
Just after midnight on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, deputies were dispatched to a 14-year-old girl’s home in Springfield Township, Oakland County, Michigan. Once they arrived on the scene, they found the young girl on the floor, bleeding from multiple stab wounds, according to Click On Detroit.
The 14-year-old girl told police that she met an 18-year-old man through social media and he had discussed coming to Michigan to visit. The unidentified man traveled from Illinois to Michigan and stabbed the young girl in the back and mid-section when she would not have sex with him, according to People.
According to Click On Detroit, the suspect is being held in Oakland County, and detectives are seeking attempted murder charges. The young girl is currently stable but in critical condition.
