Body Found of One of the Two Missing Virginia River Women
The body of Lauren Winstead, one of the two women who went missing over the Virginian James River, was found last Wednesday afternoon by the Henrico County Police. Her body was found west of the Powhite Parkway Bridge according to ABC News.
Winstead (23) went missing along with Sarah Erway (28) last Monday afternoon while on a float trip, paddle-boarding and using inflatable rafts, with ten other friends. While on their excursion, the group went over the Bosher Dam where the waters were rough below due to high water levels. The other 10 members of the party were saved by police and rescue workers, and the search for Winstead and Erway has continued since.
Because the deceased body of Winstead was found, the search for Sarah Erway is in its transition stages from search and rescue to recovery according to CBS 19.
