Former Butler Resident Convicted Of Murder In Florida

A former Butler County resident was found guilty of first-degree murder in Florida.

Kimberly Kessler was convicted for the murder of her co-worker Joleen Cummings in 2018.

Prosecutors say Kessler was the initial suspect as her and Cummings were the only two people working in a hair salon when Cummings went missing.

After the case, the sheriff in Nassau County, Florida said he doesn’t believe this is the first time that Kessler has killed someone.

She faces life in prison and will be sentenced in January.
