An East Longmeadow man was arrested Wednesday and charged with transporting explosives in connection with allegedly trying to torch a Jewish nursing home earlier this month, according to newly unsealed court records.
The burning body firefighters discovered Wednesday in a secluded field near train tracks in the city’s Collinwood neighborhood was missing its head, hands and feet, according to three law-enforcement sources.
Cleveland police Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia would not say what body parts were missing. The dismembered body was burned to such a degree that investigators cannot identify its gender, Ciaccia said.

District Attorney Doug Evans recused himself from the case last month. Judge Joseph Loper gave Evans until February 28 to turn over all documents to the AG’s office.
