A man was killed by his cousin in an illegal street takeover on Thursday morning in Costa Mesa, California. Sergio Marroquian, 23, was riding in the passenger seat of his cousin’s Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck when it flipped on its side.
According to ABC 7, the crash occurred around 2:30 am after the car was doing donuts on the street. It took place between Sunflower and Hyland avenue after more than 100 vehicles began taking over the streets.
The former assistant of 33-year-old CEO Fahim Saleh pleads not guilty to first-degree murder charges on Tuesday in Manhattan, New York. Tyrese Haspil, 21, had previously worked for Tech CEO Fahim Saleh as an executive assistant who handled his financial and personal affairs.
According to The New York Post, Haspil had stolen $90,000 from Saleh by transferring the money through his PayPal and Intuit accounts. When Saleh found out, he fired Haspil and dealt with him instead of calling the police. He arranged a brokered repayment plan so that Haspil would continue paying off his debt to him.
Police arrested a pregnant woman near Atlanta’s Ansley Park on Tuesday after she allegedly stole a news channel’s van and fled from the scene of an accident while a journalist was still inside the vehicle.
The 36-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident in Partington, Greater Manchester. The attacker later rang the police to report the incident before he fled the scene.
