Residents of a northeast condo complex reflected on the events of Saturday night, saying it surprised and frightened them to see their usually quiet street flooded by police, and then to find out a man in his 20s — one of their neighbours — had been killed.
One of the owners of the northeast Edmonton townhouse where an 18-year-old renter was stabbed to death Saturday night had no idea it was the scene of a homicide until Monday morning.
A 19-year-old Barrhead man is facing an attempted murder charge after he allegedly assaulted his mother, leaving her in critical condition. RCMP responded to a Barrhead home at about 7:40 p.m. Friday after receiving a request for assistance from paramedics who were treating a 45-year-old woman with serious injuries. She remains in critical but stable condition, RCMP said.
