Sex workers in B.C. plan to create Canada’s first province-wide reporting system to reduce the levels of violence in the sector. The database will collect information concerning dangerous dates, as well as report any safety concerns workers may have.

Police have arrested two men for allegedly posed as police officers and convincing a 78-year-old woman to let them into her home early Sunday morning. They then violently attacked her, leading to her death on Tuesday. Pascal Bouthillette, 41, has been charged with murder. Sandy Parisian, 47, has been charged with manslaughter.

Buziak, 24, was showing a home to an unknown couple on the evening of February 2, 2008, when she was stabbed to death in the upstairs bedroom. Saanich police have now announced that they are working with the RCMP and the FBI to take a new look into the case. The task force will be retesting crime scene evidence and reviewing digital evidence with new technology that was not available at the time of the murder.
