Jasmin Cigarroa’s husband, Jonathan Nuno Mijangos, was arrested on first-degree murder charges after his wife’s remains were discovered on Friday morning. Jasmin, 24, was reported missing to the Denver Police Department on March 10. According to her brother, Mijangos said that his wife had gone out with her friends on Monday night but did not return home. However, Jasmin’s family does not believe that this is true.

After an arraignment on Wednesday, notorious New York City “Subway Attacker” Khari Covington is now facing a 52-count indictment against him for burglary, assault and strangulation as hate crimes. Covington allegedly targeted “light-skinned women” during a string of attacks that occurred between August 2020 and January 4 in Brooklyn’s East Williamsburg neighborhood. Most of the attacks happened in the Morgan Avenue subway station, but one took place near the station and another at a smoke shop.
Lawrence Paul Anderson, who was charged with three counts of first-degree murder and a single count of felony maiming and assault with a deadly weapon this week, asked to be held in the Grady County Jail without bail. According to police, Anderson had fatally stabbed his family’s neighbor Andrea Lynn Blankenship, “cut her heart out” and attempted to serve the organ to his aunt and uncle with potatoes. Charles Polevich was arrested on Wednesday and charged with leaving the scene of a fatal car accident that killed Nicki Minaj’s father, Robert Maraj, last Friday. Maraj had been walking on the street when Polevich struck the 64-year-old pedestrian with his vehicle at 6:15 pm. According to police, Polevich stopped and exited his car to check on the injured man. Yet, rather than helping Maraj and calling 911, Polevich fled the scene.
