A 14-year-old boy is charged and arrested for killing his mother on Sunday, October 25. Police arrived at a Northwest Tuscon home near West Cortaro Farms Road and North Camino de Oeste after receiving a distressing call around 3:30 am, reports Arizona Daily Star.

 A suspect accused of assaulting and robbing an elderly man in Chandler now is jailed on suspicion of first-degree murder after the victim died, police said Tuesday.

They said 21-year-old Jordan Antonio Sullivan has been booked into a Phoenix jail and also is facing charges of robbery, aggravated assault, theft of means of transportation, and unlawful flight from law enforcement.

The Arizona Court of Appeals has upheld the murder conviction and sentencing of Jodi Arias in the 2008 death of her former boyfriend.

Arias’ lawyers had argued a prosecutor’s misconduct and a judge’s failure to control news coverage during the case deprived her of the right to a fair trial.

The three were arrested earlier this month in Flagstaff after Ann Marie Martinez called 911 and said she thought her grandson was dead. An officer noted he could have been dead for hours. Eventually, they told police they kept the boy and his 7-year-old brother in a closet for 16 hours a day over the past month and gave them little to eat, police reports showed. Police said the boys’ confinement in a closet was punishment for stealing food while the parents slept.

An Arizona couple have been accused of keeping the body of their 11-year-old daughter, who was adopted, in their attic for more than two years.

On Jan. 28, Phoenix firefighters responded to the home of Rafael and Maribel Loera for a house fire. While inside the home, first responders discovered human bones, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

The body was hidden within the drywall of the home and found after the fire was extinguished, the Arizona Republic reports.

The two suspects arrested after a police shooting at a Queen Creek shopping center last week were wanted for a crime spree across the Phoenix area, authorities said Monday.

Goodyear’s Brian Garduno, 30, and Show Low’s Megan Elizabeth Revier, 27, face more than 100 felony charges in over 40 cases, according to the Goodyear Police Department.

They are accused of stealing more than $25,000 in merchandise.

Police in Phoenix said Tuesday a 22-year-old woman has been arrested after confessing to killing her three children — an infant and two toddlers.

“Right now, we can tell you she admitted to doing this to the children, and that’s where we’re going and that’s where the investigation is at this point,” Phoenix police Sgt. Mercedes Fortune told Fox 10 Phoenix.

The children were a 7-month-old girl, a 2-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy, police said.
