A Pennsylvania woman admitted to placing the remains of her one-year-old son within the walls of her home, People Magazine Reports.
Kylie Wilt, 25, “has been formally charged with concealing the death of a child, abuse of a corpse, obstruction of justice, welfare fraud and tampering with evidence.”
Wilt had originally reported that the infant died from sudden infant death syndrome, or SIDS, back in February. Not having money for to bury the child, she kept him in a plastic crate. When she moved to her new apartment, she told police that she tore open the wall, placed the crate inside, and sealed the wall back up.
Robin Stasicha, a former neighbor of Wilt, said “I used to hear the baby crying all the time. And all of a sudden, it didn’t one day and didn’t see them bringing him in and out and didn’t figure this is what happened,” according to CBS Pittsburgh.
Wilt’s partner and father to the child, Alan Hollis, 27, has also been charged with “obstructing administration of law or other governmental functions” for the crime.
