Two Missouri men were charged for allegedly kidnapping and caging a 33 year-old woman.
Dallas County Sheriff’s Office reported the disappearance of Cassidy Rainwater, 33, on Sept. 1st. She had been missing since July 25.
According to Fox 4 News, police were contacted by an FBI agent in Kansas City about an anonymous tip on Sept. 16. A photo was found of Rainwater locked inside a cage while only partially clothed.
Apparently, James Phelps was the last person to see Rainwater in person. Phelps claimed that Rainwater was staying with him until she could get on her feet. He mentioned her talking about going to Colorado. Phelps told police that left on August 1. in the middle night. He alleges that he hasn’t seen her since.
On Sept. 16, police obtained a search warrant for Phelps’s phone and found photos of the missing woman, Cassidy Rainwater. Timothy Norton was also connected to Rainwater’s disappearance.
The two Missouri men are each being charged with one count of first-degree kidnapping, facilitating a felony, inflicting injury, and terrorizing, a class B felony.
There have been no updates regarding the whereabouts of Cassidy Rainwater.
