A Texas man admitted to killing multiple people after he was questioned by police, WAVY News reports.

Jason Alan Thornburg, 41, was taken in for questioning after investigators spotted his vehicle on surveillance footage around the same time that a dumpster fire occurred. The bodies were found in the dumpster after the fire was put out.

This Sept. 24, 2021 photo provided by Jason Allen and KTVT, shows the spot in Fort Worth, Texas, where a dumpster was on fire that had dismembered bodies inside. Police said the bodies appeared to be those of a man, a teen girl or adult woman, and a child. As of Monday, Sept. 27, 2021, authorities had identified only the man. Police have said the identification process has been difficult because of the condition of the bodies. (Jason Allen/KTVT via AP)

WAVY News reports that “police identified one of the victims as 42-year-old David Lueras. The two unidentified victims were initially believed to be a young woman and a child, but Sgt. Loughman said Tuesday that detectives now believe both were adult females.”

During his questioning, Thornburg admitted to his crimes almost immediately. In addition to the three who were found in the dumpster, he admitted to killing others. He confessed to five murders in total.
