A Louisiana man was charged for the death of his stepdaughter, who he had previously claimed had “vanished,” according to People Magazine.
The two-year-old toddler, Naveah Allen, was reported missing on Friday, September 24th after her siblings returned home from school. She was said to last have been seen with her stepfather, Phillip Gardner.
On Saturday, Gardner was arrested and charged with “unlawful disposal of remains and obstruction of justice,” Baton Rouge Police Department says. According to Gardner, he found her body and proceeded to “dump her body.”
An autopsy is scheduled in order to determine the cause of death.
