October is just right around the corner. In preparation, I’ve thought up my favorite family friendly halloween movies that should be fine to watch with any kiddos around.

  1. Hocus Pocus
    1. You can’t celebrate Halloween without this cult classic. Halloween isn’t complete without at least one watch of this witch movie. It can be found on Disney+.
  2. Haunted Mansion
    1. This is a childhood favorite that still manages to make me laugh every time I watch it. It can be found on Disney+.
  3. Monster House
    1. What would you do if you realized the house across the street was alive and wanted to eat you? This animated movie explores the plight of three kids as they try to stop the neighborhood kids from being eaten. It can be found on Netflix.
  4. Paranorman
    1. This claymation movie features Norman, a young boy who can speak to ghosts and now must save the town from the curse of a long-dead witch. It can be found on Netflix.
  5. Scooby-Doo
    1. Join the gang once again as they try to solve the case of Spooky Island. It can be found on HBO Max.
  6. Corpse Bride
    1. You can watch this animated Tim Burton classic with any crowd. Discover what happens to Victor when he accidentally marries a corpse bride. This movie can be found on Hulu.
  7. Coraline
    1. This creepy claymation movie still gives me the creeps as an adult. Follow Coraline as she discovers a secret door in her new house that leads to an alternate world. This movie can be found on Amazon.
  8. Hotel Transylvania (1-3)
    1. All these movies feature Dracula and all the classic halloween monsters in a fun animated romp that focuses on Dracula’s daughter, Mavis. It can be found on Amazon.
