A 16-year-old N.Y.C. teen was charged in connection with the murder of Tessa Majors.
Luchiano lewis, 16, pleaded guilty to the 2nd degree murder of Tessa Majors. Majors was stabbed during a mugging gone wrong. The incident occurred in 2019 while Majors was walking near Morningside Park in Upper Manhattan. Lewis, who was 14 at the time and two other boys plotted to rob people in the park. Rashaun Weaver,16, was one of the other boys and the supposed attacker. Majors was stabbed several times during the robbery. The victim was taken to Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital, where she later passed away.
According to ABC News, Lewis didn’t know Majors had been stabbed until he saw her on the news the next day. He claims that Weaver had a knife, but he never realized he intended to use it.
