Early Tuesday morning, three people were fatally shot and when gunfire erupted outside a Wendy’s restaurant in Hallandale Beach, Florida. According to Hallandale Beach police, officers received a call at 12:48 a.m. about an escalated argument which ended in shots fired near the fast food drive-thru. 

According to bystanders; the man found his ex at the Wendy’s, he looked quite angry and “drove his car into hers as she was getting food.” As soon as she began to drive away, the man got out of his car and fired a at her car multiple times. Both the driver and passenger died from gunshot wounds, police said. The man was found dead near the woman’s car. 

Two of the deceased were in an estranged relationship for the past two years. The relationship recently ended because of his violent outbursts, police said in a release.

Authorities did not release the names of the victims nor the gunman. It is unknown how many shots were fired.
