According to the Martin’s County Sheriff’s Office, Perrin Damron was reported to be missing on Sunday September 5th. Damron was last seen that Friday after her son’s father picked up their child.
The following day, police were contacted by Damron’s friend who claimed she had plans with Damron, but she never showed. It was uncharacteristic for Damron to leave calls and texts unanswered.
Fox News reports that after Damron’s friend reported her missing. The police began searching jails and hospitals for the missing woman. Police received a lead that Damron was seen with Eric Westerguard, 45, a friend of her family. Police were lead to Westerguard after reviewing footage on Damron’s Ring doorbell. Officers discovered that Westerguard had left with Damron at 6 p.m. on Friday.
TC Palm revealed that once Westerguard was questioned he spilled incriminating evidence. Westerguard led police to Damron’s body. She was found at State Road 710 overpass above the Okeechobee Waterway heading into Indiantown with the help of detectives and marine units.
Martin’s County Sherrif’s office have ruled this case a homicide. Westerguard was charged with first-degree premeditated murder.
